Virtusa - Senior Java Full Stack Developer/Technical Lead

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Senior Developer / Technical Lead with 6 - 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java.
• Build robust RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot.
• Develop and implement microservices-based architectures.
• Apply core Java concepts, including OOPs, Collections, Multithreading, Exception Handling, and Java 8 features.
• Work with Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.
• Develop responsive, user-friendly web applications using React.js or Angular.
• Build reusable UI components and frontend modules.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend REST APIs and microservices.
• Work with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Design and develop distributed applications using Microservices architecture.
• Implement service-to-service communication and API integrations.
• Work with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Design database schemas, write complex SQL queries, and optimize database performance.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and architecture decisions.
• Review code and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Guide junior developers and support the team in resolving technical challenges.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and delivery activities.

Required Experience &

Qualifications :

• 6 - 10 years of overall experience in software development.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java backend development.
• Excellent working knowledge of Spring Boot and Microservices.
• Hands-on frontend development experience using React.js or Angular.
• Must have independently developed backend services as well as frontend components.
• Experience in integrating frontend applications with REST APIs.
• Good understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Redis and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, Jest, or Jasmine.
• Exposure to application security, OAuth2, and JWT.
