Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Vue.js Developer to join our remote team on a contract basis. In this role, you will own the full lifecycle of modern web applicationsfrom requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, deployment, production support, and ongoing maintenance.
You will work closely with UX/UI designers to transform wireframes and mockups into responsive, high-performance web experiences. You will also collaborate with technical, visualization, and project teams to deliver engaging, interactive applications across desktop and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with hands-on Vue.js expertise, experience in GIS integrations, and a commitment to scalable, secure, maintainable code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain modern web applications using Vue.js.
- Translate UI/UX wireframes, mockups, and functional requirements into responsive, scalable, and high-performance applications.
- Build consistent, intuitive user experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Integrate GIS capabilities using mapping APIs, SDKs, and third-party platforms.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and work extensively with JSON-based data.
- Apply responsive and cloud-first development practices throughout the application lifecycle.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality releases.
- Use Git for source control and contribute effectively in a collaborative development environment.
- Write unit tests; debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues across development and production environments.
- Follow secure coding practices and help mitigate common web vulnerabilities, including OWASP Top 10 risks.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and mentor junior developers when needed.
- Provide production support and technical assistance to end users as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional web development experience.
- 3 years of hands-on experience developing applications with Vue.js.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6 ), AJAX, and JSON.
- Good hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel.
- At least 2 years of experience integrating GIS functionality using APIs or SDKs.
- Experience working with WordPress and customizing CMS-based websites.
- Experience building, deploying, and supporting production web applications.
- Hands-on experience integrating third-party APIs, particularly mapping platforms.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Practical experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a fast-paced collaborative team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Quasar Framework or similar Vue.js UI component libraries.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and data structures.
- Experience creating SVG animations and interactive web experiences.
- Experience with Azure Cosmos DB and/or relational databases.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards, including WCAG and Section 508.
- An active GitHub profile or open-source contributions.
