Developed metal oxides, sulfide, and metalloids-based carbon composite materials for high performance Li ion capacitor (LIC) and Li ion battery application (LIB). Synthesized and optimized chalcogenides such as Cu2SnS3 and CuFeS2. Fabricated metal oxides such as MnO2, SiO2 and CuO for use as anodes in LIB and LIC. Utilized metalloid silicon (Si) in LIB and LIC. Enhanced electrochemical charge storage using carbon-based materials such as carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and holey graphene. Developed novel strategy using cost-effective green chemistry-based metal catalyst activation to generate holes in graphene nanosheets. Fabricated flexible LIB/LIC devices. Developed recycling strategy for used commercial LIBs.
