• Responsible for microbiological testing of patient's samples
• To assist the consultant microbiologist in identifying the organisms by direct microscopy and biochemical tests as well as drug sensitivity against the particular finding
• Maintaining the quality control of drugs by ATCC Strains and also preservation of the Strain
• Environmental sampling in the hospital premises to control the Hospital Acquired Infection (HAI)
• Microbiological testing of drinking water of hospital
• To maintain the stock
• Monitoring the cleaning schedule in the lab premises
• Maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies and notify supervisors of shortages
• Assist in quality control and quality assurance activities, including calibration and validation of laboratory instruments
• Performing ATCC strains and quarterly EQAS
