As a tanker vessel operator with ~3 years of commercial operations experience and 13 years of technical sea-service background, I manage the full lifecycle of tanker voyages — from pre-fixture and cargo nomination through stowage planning, voyage execution and post-fixture reconciliation. In this role I coordinate with Owners, Charterers, masters, agents, terminals and other stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient transport of oil- and chemical-cargoes, overseeing cargo stowage plans, loading/discharge operations, bunkering strategy and daily voyage monitoring. I have hands-on experience with cargo documentation (Voyage Orders, LOIs, Bills of Lading), charter-party compliance, vetting procedures, marine regulations (e.g.
MARPOL/SOLAS/OCIMF), demurrage and laytime calculations, and P&L reconciliation using systems like Veson IMOS. I also handle bunker procurement, speed/consumption optimisation, voyage profitability, and claims management, maintaining rigorous control of cost and operational risk. This blend of sea-going technical insight and shore-based commercial acumen allows me to deliver safe, contract-compliant and commercially viable tanker operations.
