Data Scientist - Intern at DUTA (2024-03 – Present)

• Built a multilingual news aggregation pipeline by scraping English, Telugu, and Hindi news websites using BeautifulSoup, website APIs, and Google Chrome WebDriver, extracting and processing 10,000+ articles across multiple news categories.
• Developed an AI-driven multilingual content processing system using the Groq API, Llama 3, GPT-3.5, and GPT-4o to generate summaries, perform cross-language translations, and fine-tune models on article datasets.
• Engineered a personalized recommendation engine using collaborative filtering and content-based filtering techniques to deliver tailored news recommendations to 9,800+ users.
• Designed and deployed an AI-powered chatbot web application using FastAPI and React, implementing semantic search with SentenceTransformers and cosine similarity alongside context-aware response generation using GPT-4o-mini; additionally integrated conversational memory, session logging, and automated evaluation metrics.
