Doctor | Public Health Specialist
My name is Dr.
Agarwala. I was born a Bangladeshi national and completed my entire academic education—including SSC, HSC, MBBS, and Internship—in Bangladesh. Thereafter, I moved to India to pursue a Master's in Public Health (MPH) from Manipal University, Udupi, Karnataka.
During my time in India, I married an Indian citizen and have since been residing here permanently. I am now an Indian citizen. As a dedicated individual with academic training in both Medical Science and Public Health, I bring a unique perspective that bridges clinical medicine with population health.
My MPH program equipped me with deep insights into epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, community engagement, and research methodology. I have applied these skills through research on maternal and child health, noncommunicable diseases, and public health awareness programs. Following the completion of my MPH, I experienced a career gap, as I stayed in India on a spouse visa, which did not permit any form of employment.
During this period, I focused on professional development and continuous learning, until I received my Indian nationality (after 8 years), after which I became eligible to resume any kind on employment. Beyond clinical expertise, I am passionate about disease prevention, health promotion, and equitable healthcare access—particularly in underserved communities. My goal is to integrate medical practice with public health initiatives that strengthen healthcare systems, improve community well-being, and contribute to achieving national and global health objectives.
