• Built PaperScout, an AI research assistant using FastAPI, React, FAISS, and Llama3 for conversational semantic search and on-demand paper summaries.
• Ingested and enriched 5,000+ research papers (Crossref → SQLite), fetched open-access PDFs, and backfilled abstracts via APIs and scraping.
• Generated 384-dim sentence embeddings (all-MiniLM-L6-v2) and indexed with FAISS, delivering sub-100ms semantic search at scale.
• Delivered a polished React UI with interleaved result blocks, Load More pagination, inline loaders, and export/share functionality.
