Cardiac Pulmonary Perfusion Care

Technology graduate looking for an entry-level Perfusionist position. Completed clinical internship at Shifa Hospital, with experience in CT-OT, CT-ICU, Cath Lab and Blood Bank. During my internship, I gained practical exposure to cardiac surgery procedures, CPB preparation, perfusion equipment, postoperative patient monitoring and hospital documentation. I am interested in developing my clinical skills further and working as part of a cardiac healthcare team.

Clinical Intern - Shifa Hospital

Clinical internship across multiple departments:

• Assisted the perfusion team during adult cardiac surgeries under supervision.
• Helped prepare perfusion equipment and the operating theatre before cardiac procedures.
• Observed the initiation, maintenance and weaning of cardiopulmonary bypass procedures.
• Assisted with patient scheme-related documentation and submission requirements.
• Arranged and checked medical records and supporting documents required for scheme processing.
• Assisted with patient preparation before surgery and postoperative monitoring.
• Followed aseptic techniques and infection-control practices in the operating theatre.
• Gained practical experience in monitoring and caring for postoperative cardiac surgery patients in the CT-ICU.
• Worked with perfusionists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and other OT staff.
