About
My research work focuses on evaluating demyelination caused by glutamate-induced NMDAR-mediated neuroexcitotoxicity in the hippocampus of rats with moderate-grade Hepatic encephalopathy. Moreover, it explores the possible modulation of demyelination by Methylcobalamin, a bioactive form of vitamin B12 and a vital cofactor for methionine synthase, essential for the process of myelination. The study aims to uncover the therapeutic potential of Methylcobalamin in restoring myelination and its effects on the recovery of neuroarchitectural derangements and neurobehavioral impairments associated with demyelination.
Experience
Ph.D. Scholar / CSIR SRF - Banaras Hindu University - Varanasi, India
(2016-06 - 2024-12)
Conducted doctoral research on neuroprotection and restoration of nerve myelination by Methylcobalamin in the hippocampus of hepatic encephalopathy rats. Evaluated demyelination caused by glutamate-induced NMDAR-mediated neuroexcitotoxicity. Investigated the therapeutic potential of Methylcobalamin in modulating demyelination and restoring neuroarchitectural derangements.
