Experience
Senior Analyst at Genpact (2023-06 – 2026-06)
Financial Crime Compliance — Fortune 500 industrial & healthcare client
- Owned end-to-end screening of customers, counterparties and entities against sanctions and watchlist sources — dispositioning 30–50 escalated cases per day, after clearing 80–150 first-level alerts daily in first eight months
- Analysed customer KYC information against sanctions lists, watchlists and adverse media sources — comparing name, date of birth, nationality, country and address against the screened party profile, and applying name-matching judgement across spelling and transliteration variants, phonetic similarity and short names
- Resolved false positives with documented reasoning, or escalated true and unresolved matches with supporting evidence in accordance with policy — escalating rather than concluding where evidence did not support a confident decision
- Maintained detailed written records of every screening decision and its rationale to a standard that met internal policy, client requirements and audit review
- Screened using LexisNexis Bridger Insight XG, researched adverse media in Nexis Diligence and verified ownership and entity structure in Orbis; responded to queries from internal business units on case status and outcomes
- Reviewed customer credit and debit payment activity alongside screening and research findings when compiling written due diligence assessments on entities
- Quality-checked teammates' completed casework against procedure, identifying recurring error trends and root causes and feeding them back into procedure updates and training to improve accuracy and consistency across the team
- Authored the standard operating procedures and process flow diagrams defining the screening workflow from alert intake through escalation; identified gaps in procedure and raised proposed improvements to management, updating both as the client's requirements and lists changed
- Trained four analysts on escalated screening, watchlist screening and adverse media review, delivering the team to go-live on schedule; later selected on quality record to train a surge team absorbing rising alert volume
- INTEGRITY Award (Dec 2024) — nominated by Assistant Vice President for accuracy at high volume, ownership, and bringing the team to client standard
- Served as human-in-the-loop reviewer on a client pilot of an AI screening tool that ran batch screening, searched open sources and drafted a summary per case — worked each case independently and wrote the analyst assessment that fed back into the tool's decisioning
- Co-led stand-up of a new six-person screening function covering payments, AML and capital markets after the client separated into three companies — one of two people accountable for the full build, from workflow design through to go-live
