Data-focused professional working at a software company, where most of my day actually goes into handling data — cleaning and organizing raw spreadsheets in Excel, writing SQL queries to pull what the team needs, building Power BI dashboards, and using basic Python for repetitive cleaning tasks. Content writing is part of the role too, but data analysis is where I spend the bulk of my time and where I want my next role to be focused. • Handle the bulk of the team's data work — pulling data with SQL, cleaning it in Excel, and writing small Python scripts when the cleanup is too repetitive to do by hand.
• Manage raw project and content performance data end-to-end: gathering it from different sources, checking it for errors, and structuring it so it's actually usable before anyone builds a report from it.
• Built and maintain a set of Power BI dashboards the team checks weekly, replacing what used to be a manual spreadsheet update every Monday.
• Use pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and a handful of VBA macros regularly to speed up reporting work that used to take hours.
• Write PTD (Post Technical Design) reports and project reports where the numbers come first — the data analysis decides what the report actually says.
• Research competitor and industry data to spot patterns and trends before anything gets written or reported on.
• Coordinate with developers to double-check data accuracy before it goes into any dashboard or report.
• Also write SEO content and website copy for the same company, which is a smaller part of the role but keeps the writing and communication side sharp.
