I, Dr Chandramohan Karuppiah expertise are monitoring of tropical forest ecology, eco-hydrology, water resource and other existing resources utilized by local people also numerical modeling of hydrological processes and watershed management, Remote Sensing and Geospatial statistics to link spatial data with non-spatial data, physical geography, land use land cover, Geospatial analysis.
I worked as senior geospatial engineer (June 2008-August 2010) in CHennai, India, here I learned more technical tools and worked many geospatial applications with multiple satellite imagery. After that I worked as a GIS advisor in public works department, then I earned Ph.D (Awarded by Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship - New Delhi) research study, I developed a computational modeling tool for quantifying the runoff in hill slope and time of concentration to reach the reservoir for farmer consummation of water to crop fields in arid regions, predicting flood and drought calculation. Then, I worked as a Lecturer at the Department of Remote Sensing and Cartography, School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Madurai Kamaraj University for Master's Study students, for over two years (Temporary 2019-2022) to teach Physical geography, Hydrology, climate change, biodiversity, ecological functions, human induced environmental changes and Environmental Remote Sensing and GIS, etc.
When I was assistant professor (on contract 2018) at the Department of Soil Engineering, Krishna College of Agricultural Engineering, India to teach the graduate students for High resolution satellite image and UAV observed data for precise agriculture practices as well as calculate the loss and profit method. For my My current research and previous teaching experiences focus on social development by both field work, remote sensing data processing and geospatial analysis, these field knowledge and observed data can support the research grant application.
Ph.D and M.Sc in “Environmental Remote Sensing and Geo Information Technology”
