I am a graduate student from the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli. I am passionate about my work and always strive to improve my design. I seek opportunities to collaborate with people who bring different perspectives and skills to my architectural knowledge.
My research focuses on computational and algorithmic designs as well as sustainable architecture. I have a strong command of 3D and 2D software tools and possess excellent public speaking, leadership, and organizational skills.
I was passionate about building materials, computer applications and energy-efficient design in the early semesters of my bachelor's degree in architecture. To gain expertise in sustainability, I did my training at Environmental Design Solutions in Delhi, where I worked on projects using computational tools like Rhino and Grasshopper, along with environmental plugins such as Ladybug and Honeybee. My training helped me to improve my skills in daylight analysis, to design shading devices, and building energy analysis.
I also gained proficiency in site documentation cost estimation.
After returning to college, I undertook a dissertation project entitled "A Self-Sustainable Village", which was supervised by Prof. Amalan Kaushik. The project's master plan was created using G.I.S, and I used the Galapagos plugin to optimize building orientation, indoor environmental quality, and daylight. Working on this project immensely expanded my urban design and technical competencies in sustainable design.
At the outset of my career, I joined CCBA Designs, a prestigious architecture firm led by Prof. Christopher Charles Benninger. As a lead architect, I had the privilege of working on roof truss design, which sparked my fascination with design optimization through computational methods. Going further in my career, I'd like to dive deeper into researching the time and efficiency benefits that can be gained using this methodology compared to a traditional design process.
