Experience
MSC PROJECT - MOLECULAR SURVEILLANCE OF WASTEWATER FOR MONITORING HUMAN PATHOGENS at NITTE UNIVERSITY CENTRE FOR SCIENCE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH (2025-08 – Present)
- Collected wastewater from STP's of Mangalore and further filtered to remove large debris
- It was then centrifuged to separate the pellet and supernatant
- DNA/RNA was extracted using the kit based method
- The extracted nucleic acid was subjected to RT-qPCR, conventional PCR, Multiplex PCR using several primers, AMR gene, CrAssphage and PCR panels
- Agarose gel electrophoresis was performed to confirm the results
- The confirmed PCR positivity was subjected to sequence analysis
- Statistical analysis was done
- Spatial and temporal trends were analysed
