• Designed and validated a reinforcement-learning (PPO) control policy for real-time industrial compressor set-point tracking, layered with PID auto-tuning in a continuous online-learning loop.
• Diagnosed over-fitting on the underlying low-dimensional control problem and refactored the policy from a deep MLP to a linear model – a data-driven simplification that cut inference compute by over 99% and made real-time on-device deployment feasible.
• Ported the Python training/inference pipeline to C++ (LibTorch) for low-latency, deterministic execution on embedded hardware, working directly with the production control stack.
