Dr. Himank Agrawal

Physician by training, now working mostly at the point where clinical judgement has to be turned into something a machine or a regulator can act on. That has meant building and validating AI diagnostic tools at IIT Indore, co-founding a medical device company, and for the past two years, working freelance on the other side of the same problem — rating and writing the medical data that large language models are trained on. Also spends a fair amount of time mentoring early MedTech founders, mostly around the evidence question they haven't thought hard enough about yet.

Healthcare AI Data Expert (Freelance) at Outlier and Turing (2024-06 – Present)

• Rate and write medical prompts and model responses for LLM training, mostly clinical reasoning, diagnostics and treatment-related content.
• Coordinate with other subject-matter experts on a few projects to keep quality and rubric interpretation consistent across reviewers — the kind of thing that quietly falls apart if nobody owns it, and by now I have a fairly clear view of where these pipelines tend to break.

Scientific Officer, Healthcare at IITI DRISHTI CPS Foundation, IIT Indore (2025-03 – Present)

• Clinical lead for the foundation's health portfolio, sitting between the engineering teams and the hospitals, health missions and district programmes the tools are eventually meant for.
• Write the clinical requirements engineering builds against, run the validation protocols that decide whether something is ready to leave the lab, and handle the institutional side — ethics submissions, site agreements, reporting back to the departments funding the programmes.

Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer at Solvinn MedTech Private Limited (2024-07 – Present)

• Co-founded the company out of the SIB SHInE fellowship, to build VerveFlo, a therapy device for lymphedema management.
• Handle the clinical and regulatory side end to end — trial design, evidence strategy, the CDSCO approval route, and the patent filings that came out of the development work.
• Run a small team that is half clinicians and half engineers, which is a more constant negotiation than it sounds.

Head of Operations at Sagar Multi-Specialty Hospital, Bhopal (2022-08 – 2023-12)

• Ran clinical operations across the critical care departments and rebuilt the quality systems, which eventually got the hospital through NABH accreditation.
