Dr Mansi Shukla

I am a dedicated researcher currently serving as the Incharge of Molecular Pathology and Cytogenetics Department at KCHRC. Where I am performing advanced molecular diagnostic assays for cancer, viral, and bacterial identification through RT-PCR. My role includes overseeing DNA/RNA isolation, cDNA library construction, cytogenetic testing (karyotyping and FISH), result analysis, and documentation.

My background encompasses a strong foundation in microbial techniques such as media optimization, plating (spreading, pouring, streaking), antimicrobial and biofilm assays, light and electron microscopy, water analysis, and fermentation. In cell and molecular biology, my expertise includes the isolation of genomic DNA, RNA, and plasmids, restriction digestion, chromatography (thin layer and paper), cDNA library preparation, RTPCR, droplet digital PCR, and SDS-PAGE. I am also proficient in various chromatography techniques, including ion exchange, gel column chromatography, and HPLC.

My analytical skills are supported by a solid understanding of biostatistics, including t-test, f-test, R-studio and Tukey's test. Furthermore, I possess skills in bioinformatics, including molecular docking, Clustal W, Ramachandran plot analysis, and secondary and tertiary structure prediction from amino acid sequences. My Ph.D. research focused on antimicrobial peptides, involving their production, characterization, and application, including nanoparticle synthesis.

Also, I have done project on development of probiotics and postbiotics for biofilm eradication. My diverse expertise at the intersection of microbiology, molecular biology, nanotechnology, diagnostics, and biorepository management drives my keen interest in developing innovative strategies for enhancing diagnostic capabilities.

Leading molecular pathology and cytogenetics operations with expertise in cancer, viral, and bacterial detection testing and biorepository management.

• Performed various cancer, viral, and bacterial detection tests using RT-PCR and droplet digital PCR
• Conducted DNA/RNA isolation and cDNA library preparation
• Performed karyotyping from blood and bone marrow samples, and FISH from solid and blood samples
