Road Operation In-charge. Operations Management - Primary Execution, Distribution and Dispatch Planning.

• Allocation of orders to transporters through vendor portal and get visibility of order acceptance from vendor for dispatch planning; align road dispatches to rake arrival forecast on timely basis.
• Monitoring with Plant for smooth dispatch & Marketing team for inputs on market needs & closely co-ordinate with Supply of cement with requisite period & OTIF.
• Monitoring on daily basis about fleet requirement with vendors and priority movement. sharing fleet visibility & Analyzing dispatch variance and providing feedback to PLH about vendor performance & need for corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Packing Plant during grade change and providing forecasting for next shift and instruction / guideline for dispatch priority in the shift
• Created a system for performance tracking, monitoring of fleet efficiencies by usage of GPS/BI and ensure vendor efficiency through better asset utilization
• Planning dispatch scheduling taking into accounts sales forecast, depot/go down capacities, production schedule & manufacturing cycle time.
• Map transport network & make sure optimum utilization of vendor own/attached fleets.
• Keeps track of market intelligence on freight trends of peer units, commodity freights & arrival patterns.
• Liaison with local transport association interims of better CSL & competitive freight.
• Assigning monthly dispatch targets & provide visibility to vendor w.r.t. quantity, delivery schedule and prioritize schedules for loading for maintaining the desired service level
• Looking into sector demand, area wise and fleet mix for better supplies Conducting new vendor identification & ensuring on boarding of new vendor is smooth
• Understand, Interact & provide support to vendors w.r.t. freights, handling rates, payments, financial support, targeted efficiencies etc. for scaling up operations to expected levels; encourage transporter to invest in new fleet in line with organizational requirement
• Conduct Vendor performance review every month and ensuring proper vendor grievances redressed mechanism by active collaboration with Marketing (vehicle detention), Manufacturing (loading point detention) and Accounts (pending claims)
• Use of GPS solution to get visibility of GPS installed trucks towards Plant and interact with vendors for non GPS fleet for decisions related to change in execution plan and shift capacity utilization
• Control and monitor truck yard management system including truck registration, prioritization of movement of truck to Plant, loading prioritization in the Plant etc. as per customer requirement
• Find out the scope for improvement of truck turnaround time inside the Plant on a continuous basis
• Evaluate the actual performance, analyze performance gaps and initiate for corrective steps with team for improvement in Customer Satisfaction Level (CSL), Order Execution Time (OET), Delivery Compliance (DC)
• Following all road safety standards as well as government norms & educating drivers.
• Working as a committee member of Road Safety & Supporting of Transport Safety Subcommittee.
