I am an enthusiastic person who enjoys trying new things. I have a passion for history and motorsport and love to spend time gaming and listening to music with friends. Travelling and exploring the food and culture of new places is something that interests me. I have experience of working in large and small groups and enjoy working in teams.
Work Experience at Chris Marsh Classics Ltd (2023)
During my time at Chris Marsh Classics Ltd I gained experience in the basic principles of how a car works, as well as the equipment that is required to fix and maintain vehicles and the business that supports. I also got to experience things such as going out in a restored classic car to check for any faults that may need fixing before returning the vehicle to the owner and greeting customers who were checking in on their car. This has helped me enhance my problem-solving and fixing skills.
Chorister at Bath Abbey Choir (2018 – 2022)
Music is something I have always had a passion for. So, in 2018 I joined Bath Abbey Boys' Choir, doing practice lessons in the week and services on the weekend. I gained experience in being cohesive, listening and communicating with others to give a good performance, as well as understanding the importance of showing resilience through the likes of the Covid 19 Pandemic.
This role taught me the power of motivation and diligence in helping organisations expand during difficult times. During the Covid pandemic, our services were streamed live across world, and during my time with the Choir we recorded 3 albums. I also performed with other choirs over country as part of our choir tours.
Volunteer helper for group aged between 11 and 14 years at Scouts
During my time as a Volunteer Scout helper, I gained experience of working with and helping others to work to the best of their abilities. An example of this is where I had to make a wooden Trebuchet with my group, having to either help them with the group project or to make sure they were OK and coping with what they were doing. I was also having to listen to what others had to say and had to comprehend their views or statements.
This has allowed me to show good communication and listening skills, as well as being able to show great respect towards others.
Work Placement at Wiltshire Council (Present)
As part of my current Business course at Wiltshire College, I am completing industry hours for my work placement at Wiltshire Council. So far, I have got to understand more about the public sector and as I work in the waste department, I have also got to know how waste is managed and disposed of by the council. Knowing this helps me become more business minded and have better knowledge of the business world.
As well as this, I have been given individual tasks that I work on as part of a team. This mixture helps to ensure that I can feel confident working independently and as a group to help allow me to work in both areas effectively and with ease so that my work becomes less of a struggle.
Voluntary Bartending at Marshfield Cricket Club
I worked as a bartender at my village's cricket club throughout this summer. I demonstrated my ability to make payments, listen to orders, and to gather and make the products that our customers want. Through doing this, I have been able to feel more socially confident through working with lots of people. Because of this, I can deliver customer services effectively and seem positive towards our customers. This has helped me further enhance my personal and career development as a bartender.
