The Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI), the apex body representing the interests of the mining fraternity desires to put the facts straight and in the correct perspective. FIMI is the only all India corporate body of individual mine operators and associations, formed to promote the interests of mining, mineral processing, metal making and other mineral-based industries and to attend to the problems faced by them in lease grants, renewals, tenures, production, taxation, trade, exports, labor, etc.

• Policy Representation: Prepare representations along with senior officials on mining-related policy issues to Government bodies and regulatory authorities.
• Research & Analysis: Secondary research on mineral economics, resource governance and critical & strategic minerals to support policy insights and industry studies.
• Knowledge Dissemination: Helps to curate and share analytical and statistical information on key minerals (including critical and strategic) and metals with Government departments, researchers, mining consultants and industry stakeholders.
• Industry Representation: Represent the Federation in meetings, conferences and workshops at various events and forums.
