- Lead and oversee the overall factory operation with a focused-on cost poetization, Timely production and shipment, Quality excellence, and compliance, ensuring sustainable growth and buyer satisfaction for global buyer
- Strategic Leadership & Business Operation: Lead the overall operation of the manufacturing unit ensuring alignment with company goal and buyer expectations. Oversee daily factory operation across production, Quality maintenance, Purchase, Hr., Store and Dispatch
- Monitor performance metrics (OTR, FTR, PRODUCTIVITY, COST, REJECTION) and drive continuous improvement
- Production planning & execution: Ensure 100% execution of production plans as per PPC schedules to achieve on time delivery for all buyers. Monitor daily, weekly and monthly output
- Drive implementation of lean manufacturing practices and kaizen activities on the shop floor
- Raw Material & Inventory management: Ensure timely availability of raw materials, consumables as per production. Coordinate with the purchase and store department to maintain optimum inventory levels and avoids stockouts or overstocking
- Implement a robust material traceability system from receipt to consumption
- Regularly review consumption trends, yield and variance report to prevent material losses
- Quality & Buyer Compliance: Oversee strict adherence to buyer specific quality standard and internal quality benchmarks
- Analyze rejection data, review CAPA (corrective and preventive action) and ensure continuous improvement
- Maintain high quality standards raw material receipt to final dispatch
- Cost Control & Profitability: Prepare and monitor the units monthly/annual budget, including production costs, overheads and manpower expenses
- Continuously identify and implement cost saving initiatives in material, manpower, energy and process expense
- Optimize machine utilization reduce idle time and improve yield through process improvement and automation
- Control rejection, rework and wastage to achieve targeted cost per unit and profitability
- People Management & Leadership: Review manpower deployment and productivity across all sections daily
- Drive initiatives to control absenteeism & overtime and manpower cost
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate with HR for on job training and performance improvement
- Compliance safety & Sustainability: Ensure adherence to all legal, social and buyer compliance requirements
- Oversee implementation of health, safety and environment standards across the factory
- Vendor & Supply Chain Management: Supervise procurement ensuring timely consumables and material ensuring timely availability
- Evaluate develop supplies for quality cost and reliability. Ensure vendor performance and compliance policies
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Encourage adoption of modern manufacturing techniques and automation where feasible
- Lead cross functional teams to drive process improvement and productivity enhancement projects
- Benchmark factory performance against industry standards and competitors
- Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Review and present weekly/monthly MIS covering production, cost, shipment status, quality and manpower data
- Provide actionable insight improvement plants to management based on performance analysis
- Maintain transparency and effective communication with the senior management and buyers during audits and reviews
