Quality Department Responsibilities - Multiple Organizations
Team leading professional with comprehensive responsibility for implementing and maintaining quality production environmental and safety management systems across fabrication and machining divisions.
- Performing incoming, in process and final inspection of components
- GRN clearance based on the receiving inspection report
- Support new product launches to ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standard
- Layout inspection, incoming inspection and reading of part drawings
- Handle New Product development activity as per quality plan
- Maintaining documentation and records of all QA activities
- Executing calibration plan for measuring instruments, welding machines and gauges
- 5S implementation in standard room and company
- Monitoring Incoming parts and clear the GRN in system
- Handling customer inspections, Third party inspection & understanding customer requirements
- Preparing daily rejection, rework analysis & corrective action plan
- Arranging and maintaining document record of DP, UT & MPI test for fabrication and purchased items
- Supplier evaluation and supplier audit conduct as per plan
- Maintain and update Quality Manuals, procedures and documents
- Create detailed work instructions which to understand for workers and supporting staff
- Prepare and maintain Check sheets, Control chart and Fishbone diagram to identifying repetitive problems
- Coordination with stores dept. for inward material inspection
- Knowledge of ISO documentation
- Preparation of WPS, PQR & WPQR for welding qualification as per specifications
- Inspection using various measuring instruments
- Regular vendor visits and conduct vendor assessment as and when required to develop new vendors
- Operating and programming knowledge of conventional and CNC machines
- Ensuring the smooth manufacturing as per the approved QAP, standard codes & practices
- Using ASME section as part of my work
- Witnessing the raw material testing (mechanical, chemical, hardness etc)
- Prepare inspection call and coordinate with Third part inspector
- Collaborate with project mgrs, design teams, procurement & vendors to ensure mtls & products are delivered on time
- Ensure compliance with industry stds (e.g weld quality, dimensional checks) and maintain safe, clean work environment
- Ensuring that production activities are carried out with adherence to technical specifications & quality standards through stage by stage supervision for reducing rejection rates
- Conduct on line inspection of jobs and monitor product quality as per approved samples
- Ensuring that production & quality systems are established & maintained as per the standards
- Ensure compliance to certifications, industrial rules and regulations
- Review engineering drawings to ensure product producibility
- Lead the effective implementation of Quality management system including ISO 9001:2015
- Provide technical support to production teams on fabrication quality concerns, including weld integrity, dimensional accuracy and surface finish
- Proficient in using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height, gauges)
- Ensure that all fabrication work is completed on schedule and meet Quality standards
