Jatin Mangal

Jai is a musician, mixing engineer and producer working across contemporary music, live performance and screen music. With a foundation in songwriting, performance, recording and music production, he works across the creative and technical sides of a record — from developing ideas and arrangements, recording and producing artists, and shaping performances, through to editing, mixing and mastering. As a musician first, Jai approaches mixing as an extension of the creative process rather than simply a technical exercise.

He focuses on understanding an artist's vision, preserving the character and emotion of the performance, and shaping the record so that every element has the space and impact it needs. His experience spans artist releases, live productions and screen projects, working both independently and collaboratively with artists, producers and musicians.

Music Producer & Studio Assistant at Faridkot Studio (2024-01 – Present)

• Produce, arrange and develop music across artist releases and screen projects, working independently from creative briefs as well as collaboratively with the production team.
• Record and produce vocals and instruments including guitars, percussions and other instruments; handle vocal direction, takes, comping, tuning, editing, cleaning and preparation through to the final production.
• Create reference mixes for artists, producers, directors and clients, translating the intended sound and creative direction of a record while preparing productions for final mixing and mastering.
• Build and prepare live productions, including arrangements, programmed instruments, synth and lead tracks, click/cue tracks, transitions and playback sessions, adapting existing material to suit an artist's live performance.
• Contribute to larger-scale recording sessions and productions across professional studios including YRF Studios, T-Series Studios, Studio 504 and Island City Studio, working both independently and alongside the production team.

Music Production Intern at Saregama India Ltd. (2023-01 – 2024-12)

• Prepared and processed Saregama's existing music catalogue for integration into the Padhanisa music education platform, handling audio editing, organisation and exports across a large volume of content.
• Maintained detailed Excel-based timing and metadata records, transferring data from Logic Pro and ensuring audio and data points matched accurately before delivery to the technical team.
• Performed content checks and helped streamline workflows by identifying timing, audiovisual and content issues, improving SOPs, and creating background music for vocal warm-ups and exercises.
