The basic layout and system design, along with the installation of the network infrastructure, are managed by the Gujarat State Wide Area Network (GSWAN) under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat. The network is declared as one of the largest government networks in Asia. Connectivity is provided through a leased line Wide Area Network (WAN) obtained from BSNL, which is responsible for delivering network connectivity to individual government offices.
The Gujarat State Wide Area
Network (GSWAN) also provides wireless connectivity with multiple IP ranges to support various government users and departments. As an Assistant Network Engineer, I have successfully deployed and managed more than 100+ wireless connections, ensuring reliable and secure network access for government users, thereby contributing to efficient service delivery and good governance.

I was involved in monitoring the fiber network project of GFGNL (Gujarat Fiber Grid Network Limited) for providing internet connectivity to Gram Panchayats through Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) infrastructure. The objective of the project was to establish a statewide OFC highway by connecting all Blocks with Gram Panchayats, enabling reliable and high-speed broadband services in rural areas. My responsibilities included end-to-end monitoring and maintenance of the complete fiber network, covering network performance monitoring, fault management, and network operations.
I ensured network availability and service continuity by proactively identifying issues and coordinating corrective actions with relevant teams. Additionally, I provided high-end technical support for network systems, managed incidents efficiently, and supported resolution of user issues to maintain high levels of end-user satisfaction. My role contributed to the smooth operation of the fiber infrastructure and successful delivery of connectivity services for e-governance initiatives.

My key responsibilities included conducting field surveys for Fiber route execution across NLD routes and sites, ensuring adherence to approved spans and company guidelines. Based on survey findings, I prepared Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and coordinated with Right of Way (ROW) authorities to obtain necessary permissions.
This involved joint surveys and continuous coordination with multiple government and local authorities until final approvals were secured. I oversaw the end-to-end execution of Fiber routes and LMCs, followed by proper handover as per organizational standards. In parallel, I performed extensive GIS activities using the JIO-GIS portal, including as-built data generation and validation.
Survey data collected from the field was processed to design and create telecom network layers in ArcGIS. I was responsible for conducting overall QA/QC checks within ArcGIS and ensuring accuracy of network data. As-built information was updated in the GIS system based on validated
