Area of work: plasma science and technology, industrial plasma processing, plasma-materials interaction in non-equilibrium plasmas, materials science and engineering. Studied and modeled nitrogen & carbon active plasma-species (fast neutrals and ionic) transport in plasmas and the processed material. Plasma spectroscopy-based species identification for process modelling and control.

Developed and characterized corrosion resistant S-phase and advanced S-phases in austenitic stainless steels for improved mechanical properties.
