PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEEquipment Maintenance: Ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of pharmaceutical production equipment, such as machinery, pumps, compressors, HVAC systems, and other mechanical and electrical systems.Preventive Maintenance: Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability. This involves scheduling routine inspections, calibrations, and maintenance activities to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.Repairs and Troubleshooting: Coordinating and overseeing the repair and troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions or breakdowns. This may involve diagnosing problems, coordinating with technicians or vendors, and implementing corrective actions.Compliance and Safety: Ensuring that all maintenance activities comply with regulatory standards, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, and other relevant regulations.
This includes maintaining proper documentation and records of maintenance activities.
Budgeting and Resource Management: Developing and managing the maintenance budget, including forecasting and allocating resources for maintenance activities. This involves identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimizing maintenance schedules, and evaluating vendor contracts.Team Management: Leading and supervising a team of maintenance technicians and engineers. This includes assigning tasks, providing guidance and training, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative and safe work environment.Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction in the maintenance department.
This may involve implementing new technologies, recommending equipment upgrades, and participating in cross-functional improvement projects.Vendor and Contract Management: Collaborating with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors for maintenance-related services, such as equipment repairs, spare parts procurement, and specialized technical support. This includes negotiating contracts, monitoring service quality, and maintaining positive vendor relationships.Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate maintenance records, including equipment maintenance logs, work orders, inventory management, and reports. This documentation helps track equipment performance, maintenance costs, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Training and Development: Staying updated with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment maintenance.
Providing training and development opportunities to the maintenance team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
