Undertook a research project to comprehend the role played by the course in improving student understanding

Resource Person at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) (2017-08 – Present)

Contributed to the development of a module on classification for the Vigyan Pratibha Programme at HBCSE
Module was developed in collaboration with experts in the field that included both content knowledge experts as well teacher educators
Module underwent several rounds of iterative development as it was extensively tested and feedback from teachers was integrated
Contributed in teacher training workshops for biology at HBCSE and the Eklavya foundation
Teachers from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Atomic Energy Central School and Ashram Schools attended these training sessions
Several pedagogical strategies were employed in these sessions including agent based modelling through board games such as the sheep and wolf game and netlogo simulations
Enactive strategies such as clay modelling, games involving movement, manipulation of context specific resources etc were also used
Conducted sessions for teachers during cluster meetings as part of the Biology Resource Group in the Eklavya Ashram School Project
