• Detailed understanding of Chemistry in Siloxanes, Silanes and Silica. Prepare detailed reports and make presentations.
• Understanding the requirements of customers in products and formulations containing siloxane, silanes and silica.
• Understand chemical behaviour and physical properties of Silica and Silanes. Prepare detailed reports and make presentations.
• Lab formulations of silicones from siloxanes in a variety of physical forms ranging from solids and semi-viscous pastes to liquids and oils. Detailed characterization & study characteristics such as flexibility, resistance to moisture, stability, inertness, permeability to gases, etc.
• Formulate series of organo polysiloxanes building blocks and derivatives of silicones for product applications in emulsions, antifoams, pastes, lubricants, resins, elastomers, adhesives and coatings.
• Expertise in handling raw materials (e.g., MHPS, Silanes), controlling ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of D4/D5, and adjusting reaction parameters to achieve desired molecular weight and degree of polymerization.
• Process Development & Scale-Up: Knowledge to design, optimize, and scale up siloxane synthesis processes while ensuring safety, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong innovation and troubleshooting skills to develop new siloxane-based materials and applications, with a track record of successful process or product improvements.
• Design & develop new product / innovations in the area of performance materials science.
• Product development by conceiving new ideas, conducting research with detailed analysis, where technical and scientific answers are needed to support new product development.
• Fundamental understanding of the structural components and physicochemical properties of the developed materials and its varied applications.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, tests, operates various characterization equipment in evaluation of synthesized materials.
