SAP Sustainability Suite implementation for a leading Global Life Sciences customer. Work spans across Sustainability Analytics & Reporting, Life Cycle Assessment, and Environmental, Health & Safety management.
- Implemented CSRD & GRI reporting framework in SAP SCT, configuring 400+ KPIs and aligning with EU Green Deal & ESRS standards.
- Built integration of SAP SCT with SAP Datasphere, enabling direct data ingestion into ESG measures (Energy, Waste, Water, Safety, and GHG emissions), ensuring seamless consolidation of customer's sustainability data from global operations.
- Developed custom metrics framework: Configured standard CSRD-aligned custom KPIs within SCT dashboards
- Designed and configured advanced custom metrics for scenarios not covered by SCT's inbuilt repository via Calculation and Processing Engine (CPE-UM)
- Automated customer's ESG performance tracking dashboards, providing leadership with real-time visibility into 'on track, ahead, lagging' sustainability targets.
- Enhanced data quality & audit readiness by extending SCT's metric repository with customer-specific KPIs, reducing reliance on manual reporting and spreadsheets
- Delivered cradle-to-gate carbon footprint calculations for 50+ pharma & consumer health products through BOM mapping
- Creation of organizational structure: Product & supplier documents, activities, company's information
- Product footprint inventorization: Assigning value chain emissions (setting up boundaries to be included within footprint calculation), UOM
- Calculation of emissions footprint (scope 1, 2 & 3) by providing business transactional data, energy bills/meter readings and manual emissions
- Delivered footprint dashboards & reports to provide transparency on Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions at product level
- Integrated SAP SFM with SAP SCT for seamless transfer of emission data, enabling CSRD/GRI-compliant sustainability reporting
- Creation of EHS BPML (Business Process Master List) by considering category list from APQC Classification Framework
- Development of process maps and mapping personas for SAP best practices & the processes identified in BPML
- Creation of KPIs for processes in BPML
- Regular updating of BPML and process maps by including requirements from RFPs (Request for Proposal)
- Researched client sustainability goals (Net Zero, circularity) and analyzed global trends, regulations, and value chain hotspots to build contextualized POVs.
