Khushi Obhan

I Khushi Obhan an aspiring fashion designer, with a strong belief in creating clothing that transcends gender norms and resists the fast-paced cycle of fleeting trends. My curiosity fuels a constant desire to explore new techniques, materials, and perspectives- both in design and in the world around me. I’m drawn to storytelling through garments, crafting pieces that feel personal, inclusive, and reflective of contemporary culture.

My design philosophy centers around emotional connection, playful experimentation, and breaking conventional fashion boundaries to make space for more expressive and authentic wear.

While pursuing my studies, I had the opportunity to work with FREAKINS, a Mumbai-based denim wear brand. My role spanned from ideation to timely sample delivery, collaborating closely with both the production and styling teams to bring concepts to life.

I have completed a comprehensive four-year Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program from the Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID). The course offered a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of design, with an emphasis on concept development, technical proficiency, and storytelling through garments. Over the span of four years, I explored various design processes—from research and ideation to prototyping and execution—while developing a unique creative voice.

UID also encouraged interdisciplinary learning and industry exposure, which helped me grow into a more thoughtful, detail-oriented, and expressive designer.
