Before joining Tailor, I worked in advertising agencies such as Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi and Pirana (Dubai).
When I was a child, I chose the brush over a pen. Like artists in the far east, I preferred elegant strokes to plain writing. Not surprisingly, a few years later I ended up at Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art (1998).
Calligrapher, designer, artist, art director I worked in Leo Burnett between 1998-2004.
Burnett, my work in both ATL and BTL won couple of Abby awards.
After a stint in Saatchi & Saatchi, I shifted to Dubai for a few years where I joined creative boutique Pirana. I work at Pirana and have won a couple of Dubai Lynx awards.
I worked with many advertising gurus, but his true, long-term idol has been legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, whose autograph I desperately wanted as a kid.
In 2001-02, when Fiat was launching the signature edition Palio S10, it was cricketer Sachin Tendulkar who needed my calligraphy skills for his autograph to be adapted and placed on the car successfully.
