• Checking the proper baking of electrodes as applicable.
• Witnessing NDT such as DPT, MPT & UT as per ASME B 31.3.
• Monitoring welding consumables, storage, and usage as per project specifications.
• Maintaining and filing drawings for various disciplines such as mechanical and piping.
• Monitoring welders to ensure they are qualified to perform specified activities based on their qualifications.
• Visual inspection of weld joints and repair joints.
• Checking overall quality inspection, safety measures, testing, reinstatement, and installation of pipelines. Full inspection coverage of all tie-in activities in conformance with the approved construction method statement.
• Monitoring welding as per WPS and understanding visual inspection before, during, and after welding, as well as welding parameters and dimensional aspects.
• Examination of all types of welding defects.
• Qualification of welders as per ASME Section IX.
