I am an experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE-2) with 3+ years of building and scaling high-performance, distributed systems. Currently, I work at Cashfree Payments, where I am building and scaling the International Payment Gateway (IPG) — a high-growth, revenue-driving product that enables merchants to seamlessly accept international card payments.

Software Development Engineer - II at Cashfree Payments (2025-01 – Present)

• Developed an extensible, scalable and low-latency Rule Engine that evaluates which Cashfree checkout screen to show to the user in real-time based on multiple complex rules, increasing Cards annual GMV by 32% and SR by 12%.
• Designed and built an automated and low-latency self serve dashboard end to end which helps merchants to get their Foreign Inward Remittance Certificate (FIRC) of all their transactions, reducing operations teams manual effort by 80%.
• Served as on-call for my team on multiple occasions including peak seasons like IPL, solved 100+ high severity tickets and created detailed RCAs for the same.

Software Development Engineer - I at Amazon Development Centre (2022-07 – 2024-12)

• Launched a payment option which allows Amazon JP users to pay the bill in 6 equal monthly installments via Paidy.
• Built the Payment Processing flow which allows users to place order using installments. This brought 25% increase in Paidy payment method usage, and also brought down effort for launching new installments by 30 SDE Weeks.
• Architected a feature to allow users to do in-house eKYC on Amazon JP, which makes them eligible for installments on Paidy.
• Designed and built the backend for redirecting users to third party application form, and bringing them back to Amazon. This brought a 35% increase in Paidy installments usage and 15% increase in annual GMV for Amazon JP.
• Delivered a platform which consumes fraud data in any format, processes it to desired format and forwards the data to the desired location. It also supports two way data sharing b/w Amazon services and external partners.
• Built the feature which downloads data from any source(for eg. S3 Bucket, SFTP Server), converts it to desired format(for eg. CSV, XML) and uploads it to desired location. Helped over 10 client teams to seamlessly onboard to the platform.
• Developed a Customer Data Query Dashboard which is used by our Product/Marketing teams, which helps them to display the customer data by querying using multiple parameters, saving them over 6 weeks of effort annually.
• Served as on-call for my team, worked on multiple high severity tickets, fixing multiple risks, handled multiple peak events, demonstrating ownership and understanding of team systems.
• Demonstrated good mentorship qualities by mentoring an SDE Intern who was converted to a full-time employee.

Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon Development Centre (2022-01 – 2022-06)

• Built a feature to encrypt the Amazon Account Identifier and send the new request to Payment Partner's Authorization API, after customers place the order using the particular payment method.
• This feature helped us in reducing frauds by over 70% while paying on Amazon JP.

Software Development Engineer Intern at Walmart Global Tech (2021-06 – 2021-08)

• Designed the architecture of the Data Pipeline which pushes Sam's Club Memberships data from CosmosDB to Azure Delta Lakes.
• Implemented a feature which changed Batch Processing to Streaming and improved data transfer latency from 4 hours to under 5 minutes using Spark Structured Streaming, Python, PySpark, SQL and technologies like Azure Functions, Azure Event Hub and Azure Delta Lake.
