Experience in Cognos BI application suite Framework Manager, Query Studio, Report Studio, Dashboards, Business Workspace, Event Studio, Cognos Administration
Experience in complete lifecycle of the of the Cognos BI project implementation including, requirements gathering, analysis and design, implementing, testing, deployment and maintains
Excellent ability to gather and understand business requirements and translate into IT solutions with the use of Cognos
Creating the technical requirement documents
Import the meta data from different source systems into Framework Manager
Creating and publishing packages to Cognos BI server
Creating different types of reports like List, Crosstab and Charts
Creating unit test cases to test the reports to align with business requirement documents
Updating the existing reports as the CR’s created by the business users
Troubleshooting and fixing the existing report issues
Working with Cognos developers, IBM support, database administrators, and other IT operations resources to troubleshoot issues and ensure the system is working properly
Working closely with the report developers to manage deployments and security throughout the environment
Creating and maintaining Cognos user groups and roles
Excellent analytical skills & logical programming skills with a good understanding at conceptual level
Excellent interpersonal skills with ardent desire to achieve specified goals
