Worked under the Department of Microbiology at NRS MEDICAL COLLEGE, Kolkata during the period of one month (June'24-July'24) of summer internship. The team focused on working under varied departments under microbiology such as Serology, Bacteriology and Mycology. This experience allowed me to hone microscopy skills, focus on techniques like microbial culturing, aseptic technique, Gram and Z/N Staining, sample collection and preparation, bacterial culture techniques such as agar plates, broth culture.

• The primary responsibilities included collecting patient specimens, performing standard microbiological techniques such as bacterial isolation, identification using biochemical tests which allowed me to identify trends in antibiotic resistance.
• This experience significantly enhanced my understanding of microbial identification procedures and the importance of accurate data interpretation in clinical microbiology.
