Manulaxmi Yadav

I am a fourth-year PhD scholar at CTARA, IIT Bombay, specializing in groundwater management and gender issues. I seek to contribute as a faculty member bringing expertise in environmental resource management, gender-inclusive water policy, field research, and GIS-based spatial analysis. With a strong background in ESG consulting, interdisciplinary research, and academic instruction, I aim to mentor students and advance knowledge at the intersection of environmental sustainability, public health, and social equity.

Ph.D. Research Scholar at CTARA, IIT Bombay (2022-01 – Present)

• Examining gendered impacts of groundwater depletion in Parbhani district across four verticals: education, health, economic livelihood, and social security.
• Identifying gaps in existing water and gender policies and formulating evidence-based recommendations.
• Mapping vulnerable and potential groundwater recharge zones in Parbhani district using Remote Sensing and GIS (QGIS) with AHP methodology.
• Conducted extensive field surveys and FGDs

Teaching Assistant at CTARA, IIT Bombay (2022-01 – Present)

• Coordinating and conducting departmental seminars in both online and offline modes.
• Teaching referencing style and academic report writing (Communication skills course) to postgraduate students.

• Assessed companies' engagement and policy documents against ESG reporting frameworks and standards.
• Conducted secondary research to identify clients and technology partners; developed analytical datasets.
• Developed and upgraded ESG assessment methodology and analytical frameworks.
• Analyzed ESG performance of companies, validated data quality, and assigned ESG ratings.
