- RC Drill rig supervision of contractors and operators daily. RC drill chip logging and geological interpretation.
- Diamond drill supervision and drill core logging, sampling, and QA/QC review
- Data management of the drill database and drilling activities
- Drilling metrics validation, drill assay and QA/QC review, Significant intersection reporting
- Field activities including lithological mapping, site overseeing and preparation, surveying, drill sample collection.
- Upholding safety practices, through timely inspections, risk assessments, hazard observation, Safe act observation and Take 5 reporting.

- Creating and updating GIS based maps.and developing skills in geological software

- Awareness of appropriate resource compliance, lease maintenance and statutory requirements of exploration techniques.
- Develop an understanding of the local geology/mineralisation systems on area(s) of responsibility.

Mine Geologist at Norton Gold Fields(ZIJIN) (2024-07 – 2026-05)
Undertake Production Duties to facilitate the optimal production of gold ore from underground mining operations in three Underground operations. This includes interaction with the underground geological team to ensure the accurate sampling, interpretation, communication, and documentation of geological, mining, and geotechnical data in the mine environment.
- Updating backmaps and interpreting the structural and geological nature of the orebody
- Locating face channels and wireframing structures to improve the geological data. Interpreting block models and solids to predict and update reserves.
- Manage the timely and accurate collection of geological information to optimize metal extraction.
- Undertake project work as defined by the Senior/Project Underground Geologist, to enable the geology and underground team to meet its KPI's.
- Manage all mediums of geological data to enable accurate integration into the mine planning process to optimize metal extraction and extend the life of the mine.
- Provide supervision, coaching and mentoring to support staff to ensure quality and team effectiveness.
- Prepare daily production reports and monitor the movement of ore.
- Undertake monthly reconciliation to oversee the depletion of reserves and overall mill utilisation.
- Liase with contractors and technical crew to ensure the orebodies are utilised to greater extend.
