Metallurgical and Materials Engineering graduate from NIT Srinagar with industrial experience in automotive and architectural glass product development at Asahi India Glass Ltd. (AIS) and research experience in High Entropy Alloys at IIT Delhi. Experienced in CATIA V5, 2D engineering drawings, design feasibility, RFQ analysis, VPL activities, technical documentation, new model development and shop-floor coordination. Strong foundation in metallurgy and materials engineering with hands-on exposure to SEM, XRD, mechanical testing, microstructural characterization, alloy design, CALPHAD/Thermo-Calc and additive manufacturing.

• Work on automotive glazing and architectural, consumer glass products, supporting new model development from RFQ inputs through design and feasibility evaluation.
• Develop and modify 2D engineering drawings and glass designs using CATIA V5 and NX, based on product requirements and technical inputs.
• Perform design feasibility checks to evaluate manufacturability and identify potential issues related to glass geometry, dimensions, processing and production requirements.
• Handle VPL (Vehicle Projected Leader) activities, including technical documentation, data compilation, coordination and tracking of new product development activities.
• Support the Mercedes Benz program as part of the program management/documentation activities, coordinating RFQ data, technical information and project documentation.
• Review and organize RFQ data and customer requirements and support their translation into relevant engineering and manufacturing requirements.
• Work closely with cross functional teams including design, production, quality and manufacturing for new product development and issue resolution.
• Apply knowledge of metallurgy and materials engineering to understand glass material, processing, manufacturing and product performance requirements.
• Participate in shop floor activities to understand production processes, manufacturing constraints, quality requirements and practical implementation of design changes.
• Gain hands on exposure to the complete product-development cycle, from customer/RFQ requirements and design feasibility to manufacturing and production support.
