Safety Officer at Hindustan Fire Safety Engineering Company, Salem (2016-01 – 2019-06)

• Factory tour twice a day and recorded possible unsafe acts and conditions and corrected to ensure zero accidents
• Conducted Induction training to new employees and contract workers
• Conducted Emergency Evacuation mock drill twice a month
• Inspected fire extinguishers twice a month and sent it for refilling and further replaced the faulty ones with new ones
• Inspected smoke detectors and sprinklers and replaced the defective ones
• Conducted awareness programs regarding unsafe acts and unsafe conditions to all workers
• Conducted various committee meeting and ensured workers request are resolved
• Inspected working conditions of fire alarm and hydrant
• Inspected emergency lights for every fifteen days
• Medical fitness test are conducted once in every month those certificates are recorded for future use and ensured health of workers
• Added new fire fighters and given first aid training and CPR training to all workers
• Handled technical audit (DHL) and had involved in making corrective actions
• Done risk assessment to all the sections to make better performance of the workers and to avoid accidents
• Provided necessary Personal protective equipment's to concern sections workers and ensured effective use of them
• Ensured man –machine safety by providing necessary guarding and other safety device to avoid minor injuries
• Created awareness by planting safety sign boards and slogans and safe operating procedures to build safety culture around the shop floor
