Responsibilities included creating claim accounts, confirming liability with customers, liaising with insurance companies to verify third-party claims, and reviewing all supporting documentation and images. Claims were settled directly with insurers when lodged, or with customers and third parties when not, followed by finalizing settlements and closing files. Specialized in recoveries and settlements, focusing on reclaiming costs from insurers and third parties while handling claims across Australian insurers such as NRMA, RACV, SGIO, and SGIC. Duties also involved issuing invoices, following up payments via phone and email, and coordinating with repairers to obtain all relevant vehicle invoices.
