• System & Process Audits: Scheduling and conducting regular on-site audits (such as VDA 6.3 or IATF 16949 standards) at supplier facilities
• Run-at-Rate Validation: Verifying that the supplier's production lines can meet the required capacity demands at the specified quality level during peak manufacturing stages
• Risk Assessment: Identifying high-risk suppliers and implementing proactive monitoring or firewall measures to protect automotive assembly lines
• KPI Tracking: Monitoring supplier metrics such as PPM (Parts Per Million) defect rates, delivery reliability, and quality scores
• Supplier Development: Designing and implementing continuous improvement strategies to upgrade supplier capabilities, reduce process variation, and minimize waste
• Root Cause Analysis: Leading complex problem-solving initiatives using structured methodologies like 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa (Fishbone) diagram
• SCAR Management: Issuing Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) and tracking them to ensure robust, permanent corrective actions are executed
• APQP Governance: Leading the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process with suppliers to ensure flawless launch readiness
• PPAP Approval: Reviewing and signing off on the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to validate that supplier manufacturing processes can consistently produce compliant parts
• Sourcing Evaluation: Partnering with Procurement and Engineering to assess and qualify new suppliers based on technical capability and quality risks
• Executive Reporting: Presenting regular supplier performance data, trends, and recovery strategies to senior leadership
