During my internship at the Sewage Treatment Plant in Srinagar, I gained practical exposure to the operation and maintenance of various mechanical systems used in wastewater treatment processes. The training provided me with an understanding of how theoretical mechanical engineering concepts are applied in real-life industrial environmental systems.

• Introduced to the overall working of the treatment plant, including the flow of sewage through different stages such as screening, primary treatment, aeration, sedimentation, and sludge handling
• Closely observed the functioning of key mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, screens, mixers, and sludge dewatering units
