I bring over twenty-two years of distinguished experience in teaching Visual Art and Design and serving as Head of Department at one of India’s most prestigious heritage institutions, delivering both IBDP and IGCSE curricula. Alongside my academic leadership, I am a practicing professional artist with a strong exhibition record. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Humanities, as well as a bachelor’s and master’s degree in fine arts from the Universities of Kolkata and Mumbai, India.
Additionally, I have completed IBDP Category 1 and 3 certifications from the International Baccalaureate and Assessment training from Cambridge International, strengthening my expertise in international art education.
As an established visual artist and experienced educator, I bring nearly two decades of leadership in international art education alongside an active professional art practice. Currently, I serve as Head of Visual Art and Design at The Cathedral & John Connon School, Mumbai, an acclaimed heritage institution offering IBDP, IGCSE, ISC, and ICSE curricula, where I plan curricula, teach, and mentor diverse learners. My students have earned admissions and scholarships to leading Art and Design schools across the U.S., U.K., Canada, Italy, and Singapore.
I hold dual Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in fine arts from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai (First Class with Distinction) and Kolkata and continue to exhibit nationally and internationally.
