N.raghavendra Rao

I am a civil engineer with a specialisation in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems, bringing a diverse blend of practical engineering, academic, and managerial experience. I began my career as a site engineer on railway and residential projects, where I developed a strong foundation in construction management and field operations.

Following my master’s degree, I transitioned into academia as an assistant professor, gaining valuable teaching and research experience. I further enriched my career through an international faculty position at a university in Ethiopia, fostering cross-cultural collaboration and academic growth.

Currently, I serve as a manager in the urban planning department, where I oversee the processing, analysis, and management of spatial data essential for informed planning and design decisions. My expertise lies in leveraging remote sensing and GIS technologies to support sustainable urban development and infrastructure planning.

I started my professional career as a Site Engineer with APEWIDC and SAI Constructions, gaining hands-on experience in managing railway and residential projects. Later, I transitioned to academia and worked as a faculty member at Mizan Tepi University in Ethiopia. Subsequently, I served as a research scholar and guest faculty at Andhra University, further advancing my expertise in research and teaching.

Currently, I am a Manager in the Urban Planning Department, where I manage and analyse spatial and planning data to support effective urban development.

I hold a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree specialising in Remote Sensing. I am currently pursuing a PhD focused on Sustainable Planning.
