Started my career as a short service commissioned officer in the Armoured Corps. At the end of my commission I had a short tenure in the private sector as a security officer followed by another brief stint as a regional security officer in a nationalized bank. Post this, put in a service in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for 29 yrs., where I have been associated with various public sector undertakings and hyper-sensitive industrial establishments.

I am experienced in the development, implementation and evaluation of risk mitigation strategies and procedures. Have managed multiple teams across diverse geographic locations among various corporate and industrial sectors including government, military and other hyper sensitive installations. Have extensive knowledge in physical security, loss prevention, intelligence and investigation, crisis planning and security consultancy.

During the course of my duties, I had the opportunity to serve in the United Nations as a CivPol Officer in Kosovo, and also as Supervisory Officer of security Team for CM of Gujrat State. I also had the opportunity to serve in the Force Head Quarters as Assistant Inspector General - Ordinance which involved planning, procurement, budgeting & formulating of policies with regards to the use, upkeep and protection of Arms & Ammunitions.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) /Retd. at CENTRAL INDUSTRIAL SECURITY FORCE (1995 – 2024-06)

Joined as an Assistant Commandant in the year 1995.

• Developed procedures for physical security, emergency response, crisis management, information security and incident management for various establishments like Power Sector, Coal, Atomic, Space and Steel Sector.
• As a security consultant, have conducted site reviews, security audits and made recommendations to management based on findings.
• Involved in developing intelligence networks & vigilance teams while working in various establishments.
• Counselled management on how to cut spending without compromising the safety and security of the company's assets.
• Developed and implemented training procedures for all newly hired personnel and for those who are already performing duties, recommended improvements in security systems and procedures, designed security policies, alarm response protocols and access card guidelines.

CivPol Officer on deputation, Kosovo at UNITED NATIONS PEACE KEEPING FORCE (2000 – 2001)

• As a CivPol Officer on deputation, carried out investigations, crowd control, community patrolling.
• Collaborated with multiple international police officers during the course of the deployment.
• Formulated SOPs for evacuation, crisis management for the international police officers deployed at the station.
• Was also posted as an administrative officer and Station Commander during the course of my deputation.

Regional Security Officer at CORPORATION BANK (1993-05 – 1995-06)

• Conducted site reviews and security audits of all the bank branches in the region and made recommendations to the management for improvements in security systems and procedures based on findings.
• Developed procedures for the emergency response and crisis management, physical security, information protection, incident management and investigation units.

Ex- Major, 67th Armoured Regiment at INDIAN ARMY (1985-08 – 1992-08)

• Commissioned in the Armoured Corps.
• Commanded operational & logistic squadron/company and participated in many operational exercises requiring operational and tactical skills.
