- Handled a Commissioning team of more than 50 to 300 personnel, including Engineers from various streams like Mechanical (Static and Rotary), Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, and local Technicians.
- Develop Commissioning documents such as Commissioning procedures and manuals, method statements, philosophies, control narratives, SOP and O&M manuals in accordance with project specifications and procedures.
- Carrying out system walk down, raising punch points and follow up for closure of all Construction and Commissioning Punches and ensure System is ready and safe for Commissioning and Startup. Participate in PSSR and punch listing activities.
- Develop and maintain the system centric integrated commissioning and start up schedule; control all costs associated with commissioning consumables and equipment; develop a commissioning and start up plan
- Defining System and Sub-system and analyses systems/Units sequential start-up with Mark-Up PID
- Participate in HAZOP studies for plant modifications or any changes in plant and maintaining MOC (Management of change) records for such changes.
- Ensures that work permit system is strictly complied, and all field activities are well planned and carried out in Compliance with the HSE policies and HSE Commissioning Plan.
- Preparing ITR-A and ITR-B Check sheets, and uploading and tracking for completion in System Completion Data base (SCDB) like PetroPcs etc.
- Bringing all utility systems contained Instruments, N2 compressor, Utility Boiler, OTSG Boiler, Water Treatment Plant to operational state and performance test them, for preliminary handover to operations.
- Perform Operational Testing for hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon systems
- Maintain Commissioning Spares register, LOTO register, Spade register and tracking them.
- Ensure activities such as Pipe cleaning and drying, Dew point check, Chemical cleaning, and Air blowing (Disk bursting), Lube oil flushing, Gross leak test, N2/He Sensitive leak test with specialist contractors and purging and preserving the system under 2% Oxygen and 98% Nitrogen before introduction of Hydrocarbon are properly done.
- Normally Leak test will give to other contractors along with Air Blowing, Purging and Preservation up to 0.8bar with Millions of Dollars spent for every Project. I suggest many projects and completed the Air Blowing and Leak Test utilizing our Field Operators only. In this way will save the Huge Money in future Projects.
- Leak Test and VacuumizatIon of Butane Refrigeration System, OutsideContractor offered 86,000 KD but I gave suggestion and completed this Task with only 8,000 KD and successfully completed and commissioned since i have experience in this Task.
- Investigate and compile reports on operational upsets or malfunctions during commissioning and start-up. Accountable for preparing and sharing lessons learnt.
- Monitoring daily project progress activities, conducting daily morning meetings, Toolbox talk, preparing weekly and monthly project progress report.
- Taking corrective actions for Project slippages so that Project is completed in scheduled time.
- Planning for Vendor mobilization as per project schedule.
- Training locals in Operations, recruitment, selection and team building.
- Trouble Shooting for Utility Cold Steam Hammering in the Steam Condensate return line and rectification was done and then successfully commissioned.
