• Observing how technicians calibrate and arrange equipment (anesthesia machines, C-arm, monitors) prior to a case.
• Watching how scrub nurses and technicians create and maintain a sterile environment to prevent infection.
• Noting how patients are safely positioned, shaved, and draped for various surgeries.
• Watching senior technicians hand surgical instruments to surgeons and handle suction or cautery machines.
• Observing the anesthesia team track patient vitals (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels) using monitors.
• Listening to how surgeons, nurses, and technicians coordinate during high-stress moments.
• Observing the safe transfer of the patient from the OT table to the stretcher and into the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Watching how biomedical waste is segregated and how the OT is disinfected for the next procedure.
• Learning the processes for decontaminating, packing, and auto-claving/sterilizing used surgical tools.
