Internship at Shankus Cancer Hospital (2025-05 – 2025-07)
During my Summer Internship Project, I worked on a community outreach initiative aimed at raising awareness about the availability of free cancer treatment at Shankus Hospital under the Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) scheme. I conducted field surveys, interviews, and data collection across urban and rural areas of Patan District to understand awareness levels, communication gaps, and public perceptions regarding cancer treatment. I also interacted with ASHA workers, local leaders, and hospital staff to gather qualitative insights and identify barriers like stigma, cost concerns, lack of information, and limited accessibility.
This experience strengthened my skills in field research, community engagement, data analysis, and public health communication.
