IT professional with 3+ years of experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration, Integration, and Application Development within the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain, supporting on-premises and cloud/SaaS delivery models. Extensive hands-on experience configuring and customizing Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter across the Guidewire Suite of applications. Strong expertise in Guidewire Product Model, Data Model, PCF Development, Entity Extensions, Typelist Extensions, Type Filters, Validation Rules, Underwriting Rules, and Workflow Configuration.
Proficient in Gosu programming and skilled in applying the Guidewire Event and Rules Framework to configure business logic, validation rules, and underwriting rules.
Experience developing and supporting Guidewire Web Services and REST API integrations, batch processes, messaging, and third-party system integrations, working with XML & JSON data formats. Strong understanding of Policy Administration, Underwriting, Rating, Coverage Management, Policy Forms, and insurance business processes across P&C lines (Auto, Home, Commercial). Experienced in analyzing business requirements, preparing technical design (HLD/LLD) documents, and delivering scalable, market-differentiated Guidewire solutions.
Skilled in troubleshooting production issues, defect resolution, root cause analysis, and application performance improvements; comfortable operating during periods of client escalations. Good exposure to the Guidewire Testing Framework (GUnit) and quality assurance best practices. Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments — Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives — with cross-team and cross-border collaboration.
Proficient in SQL Server, database querying, data analysis, and backend production support activities. Hands-on experience with Jira, ServiceNow, and release/deployment management processes; working knowledge of devops-aligned build and deployment practices. Knowledge of insurance industry standards, compliance, security, logging, auditing, and monitoring practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills; proven ability to act as a trusted, reliable contributor across cross-functional and client-facing teams.
